Shift Vol.2

Every year, Seismic brings its customers, partners, and prospects together at Seismic Shift; the company's flagship user conference. It's a rare window. The people who actually use the product are all in one building for a few days. For a sales enablement platform, that room holds the most persuasive marketing asset there is: real customers, on the record, explaining why the product matters.

Our job was to capture their customer's stories before the window closed.

The brief

Fifteen interviews. Three days. A live conference happening around us the entire time.

The subjects weren't easy to schedule, either. These were leaders from ZoomInfo, UPS, Genesys, Elastic, Uber, and many more, people with packed agendas who could give us a tight block and not much more. Several interviews had more than one person on camera. Every one of them had to look and sound like a premium brand film, not a hallway grab.

That's the tension in conference floor production. The environment is chaotic and the schedule is unforgiving, but the finished piece can't show a trace of either.

How we shot it

We ran every interview on a three camera setup so each conversation had editorial range without asking anyone to repeat themselves or sit for reshoots. That matters when someone's only giving you twenty minutes. You get one clean pass, and you need enough coverage to cut it well later.

The pace was the real test. Fifteen interviews in three days means resetting, relighting, and rebriefing on a clock, back to back, without letting quality slip on interview nine or fourteen.

Why Seismic keeps these

Interviews like these are hard to fake and impossible to replace. A leader from Uber or UPS saying, in their own words, what changed after adopting the platform does something no product demo or sales deck can. It removes doubt.

That's exactly how Seismic uses them. Their sales teams put these videos in front of prospects to build trust early in an evaluation, prove value with named enterprise logos, shorten the sales cycle. When a prospect sees a peer at a company they recognize vouching for the product, the conversation changes.

The takeaway

The value wasn't fifteen finished videos. It was fifteen credible, enterprise grade customer stories captured inside a three day window that comes around once a year, a library Seismic's team keeps pulling from long after the conference lights go down.

If your best customers are ever all in one place, that's the moment to capture them. Most companies let it pass.
